Our next gathering of the PACS Web Design SIG will be on Saturday, June 16, 9a In the Giant Supermarket, 315 York Road, Willow Grove PA.
This is the last session of the 2017-18 PACS Season. I plan to pull together the major topics we have covered this year – CSS Grid & Javascript. We’ll see how that goes.
A couple of the SIG leaders are considering a subject matter change for next year.
Reed Gustow, who leads the WordPress SIG, has expressed an interest in digging in a little deeper with Javascript. It would be a 101 level introduction, but he plans to have more of a language learning SIG.
If Reed were to do that, I would move to lead the WordPress SIG. Web Design would, in effect, turn into a Javascript SIG – which is something I’ve been considering given the interest shown over the past 4 months as we built JS projects.
I’m very interested in hearing your thoughts about this potential change. Reed has emailed the WordPress SIG about this change.
We haven’t yet discussed timing or room assignments. That will be for Don Arrowsmith and our PACS Directors to decide on.
